This article describes updates being made on the new 2017 JasonSilvestri.com website from Dec 26, 2016 through Dec 28, 2016, what to expect and what to do if you get a 403 blue page.
If you are visiting the brand new 2017 www.JasonSilvestri.com website on Dec 26, 27 or 28, and come across a blue screen that reads, "Error 403 - This web app is stopped" and wonder what it means, well, it means the web app has stopped. :) Yes, funny, funny. No really, all this means is that we have shut off our Azure Cloud computing server to make some updates. The time it takes to make these updates are very quick. Most updates are done in 5 mins or less. Some are even under a minute. All you need to do is refresh the page and wait for the site to load. No need to undo your last request. If you receive the same message, we are literally running the update and will be done very, very soon. If you have a few more minutes, feel free to wait, and then hit refresh again. If you don't get the new 2017 Jason Silvestri website after that, one of the highly trained monkies tasked with making the update has stopped for an unscheduled banana break and shall suffer the consequences when they return! Nah, nah. It shouldn't be too much longer.
The updates themselves involve updates to the Azure server itself, but also, to remove leftover sample data used while testing during Christmas (you'll see some of it in Latin if it still exists), fixing a bug that was making images take too long to load, there are still web page content updates that need to go up, and a couple other small creative design changes to the look and feel of the website.
We're making updates to the new 2017 www.JasonSilvestri.com website. Feel free to visit anytime 24/7, though, because the updates are quick. However, if you do get a 403 blue page, hang tight and we will be done with the update causing it in just a moment.
